Fresh water from the sea for new guest harbour on the Swedish westcoast
By the end of 2013 the National Property Board Sweden (SFV) started the process of improving the guest harbor by adding a service facility on the Väderöarna Islands. The project was a consequence of the vision of the SFV to make the islands more accessible and more comfortable to stay at.
Enwa was contacted when a request was sent out to local entrepreneurs to build the service house in the guest harbor. The service house contains of a smaller exhibition hall, a harbor office and facilities with showers, toilets and also with possibility for the boat owners to fill up there own water tanks with fresh water. The guest harbor including service facilities was opened in the beginning of June 2014.
Enwa has delivered two water makers (SW 15T) to the facility. The plant has two separate lines for production of drinking water. Each line has a feed pump and pretreatment with sand filter. After the reverse osmoses unit, the water treats with a filter that increases the pH-value and makes the water tastier. The water is collected into a tank, and before distribution it passes through an UV-light. Each line has a capacity of 15 m3/day.
